The Opportunity:
As overseen by the Finance Manager, the role of Senior Supply Chain Officer commands leadership in managing supply chain operations within our Dodoma office, adhering to established standards and protocols. We seek an individual capable of guiding, organizing, and coordinating team efforts effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Championing Our Values: Promote and embody Water Mission’s mission, vision, and values among team members, fostering collaboration and accountability in a biblical framework.
- Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to the supply chain team, nurturing a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute initiatives to optimize supply chain processes in alignment with organizational policies.
- Procurement Management: Oversee procurement activities to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Inventory Management: Implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and ensure proper management of inventory movement.
- Logistics and Distribution: Manage logistics operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of materials while minimizing costs.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring reliability and adherence to policies.
- Training and Compliance: Conduct training on established policies and procedures, ensuring compliance across teams.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain to minimize disruptions.
Requirements:
- Alignment with Water Mission’s Statement of Faith and core values.
- Fluency in English and Swahili.
- Five years of proven experience in supply chain management.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and regulations.
- Personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Zero tolerance for corruption.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and supply chain management tools.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Master’s degree or certification preferred).
- Impeccable integrity.
- Legal authorization to work in Tanzania.
