Application Procedure for Chuka University:

a) Application Requirements:

  1. Non-refundable Application Fee: Kshs 3,000 for PhD. Programmes, KShs 2,000 for Masters Degree & Diploma, and Kshs 1,000 for Certificate Courses.
  2. Complete and sign the application form: The application form can be downloaded from the university’s website.
  3. Originals & Copies of Transcripts, Diplomas or Certificates: Submit both the original and a copy of your academic transcripts, diplomas, or certificates. All original documents will be returned.
  4. One recent passport-size photograph: Write your name on the reverse side of the photograph.
  5. Copy of National Identity Card or Birth Certificate: Provide a certified copy of either your National Identity Card or Birth Certificate.
  6. Research Concept Paper (PhD. Only): For applicants applying for PhD programmes, a research concept paper is required.

b) Submission of Application:

  1. Certified copies of certificates and the original fee payment receipt must be attached to the application form.
  2. Submit the completed application form and all required documents at least two weeks prior to the commencement dates for the respective programmes.

c) Academic Year and Duration of Study:

  1. One Academic Year is equivalent to 2 semesters for full-time students or 3 blocks for school-based mode.
  2. Diploma holders may take a shorter period to complete a Bachelors degree after credit transfer.

d) Preferred Campus:

  1. Indicate your preferred campus on the application form.
